Go to Quotation / Quotation List. Click on the New button.
You will be led to the Quotation Entry screen.
In User Request tab, input this information:
Basic information: enter basic quotation information such as Valid date, Office & Customer info.
Quotation: User can create multiple subquotations, each with a different route, cargo & rate, by clicking on the + New Quotation button.
Route Information: Enter user request route, Service term, Ship Mode and Currency
Equipment: Add user request or your preferred equipment tp/sz and the amount needed for the Quote. Please note that when Ship Mode is LCL the Equipment table will be hidden
Cargo Information: Enter cargo information, click on the + icon to add more cargo
In Rate Detail tab
Provide following information in the Rate Detail tab:
Route table: depends on the customer’s request, sales person can offer multiple route option of different carriers for the user to choose. Each route have their own charges and rates.
Total rate for each equipment type as well as the estimated profit will be displayed
Note: Users can input many different routes. However, only route with Use checked will show up when print quotation
Exchange rate table: select the exchange date for the quote. If the Rate have different currency than quotation currency (in user request), the exchange rate for each currency will be displayed in this table. This table will be hidden if you only use one currency
Rate table: You can only add rate when you have select a route. This is the rate information of the route option above. Add buying rate and selling rate for each equipment type register in user request
Apply All tp/sz option: Check this option to use the same rate amount across all equipment type size
Auto rate button: automatically search vendor contract for appropriate routes and rate match with user request, then import to route table
Default rate button: get default rate information. It is defined in charge code common data
Once you have filled in all data, press Save to create a quotation.
Below is an example of a complete quote.
After creation, the quote status is Draft. You can update the quotation status to Approved.
Once approved, the quote can be used to create a shipment.
