¶ Introduction
This screen allows you to compare bank transactions in the system with bank statements.
Navigation: Accounting / Bank / Bank Reconciliation
¶ Check and reconcile bank transactions
- Select Bank.
- Select Period as Deposit/Clear Date
- Click on the Calculate button to retrieve data.
4. Following information is returned:
- Beginning balance is the balance as of the day before the period.
- Statement balance shows the total amount of cleared deposits/payments and journal entries within a selected period.
- Outstanding shows the total amount of uncleared deposits/payments within a selected period. Outstanding Details shows details of uncleared deposits or payments.
- Book balance shows the total amount of all deposits/payments and journal entries.
- Ending (Book) Balance: Beginning Book Balance + Total Deposit – Total Check
- Bank & Book Difference: Actual Ending Balance – Ending Book Balance. This amount must be ‘0’ at all times.
